Pet Surgery

Skilled Surgery Care at All Creatures Animal Hospital

Learn about Our Pet Surgery Professionals

The experienced doctors at All Creatures Animal Hospital perform a wide range of surgeries, including spays and neuters, most soft tissue procedures, dental surgery, and some orthopedic procedures.

Safety during a pet’s surgery is our number one priority. We will conduct a thorough pre-anesthesia exam (that typically includes bloodwork) to check for the presence of underlying conditions that could impact your pet’s ability to handle general anesthesia. One of our licensed veterinary technicians will monitor your pet’s vital signs throughout the surgery.

All Creatures Surgical Procedures:

Spaying & Neutering

Spaying and neutering may be common procedures, but they are still major surgeries that require careful, customized levels of anesthesia, appropriate pain control, and proper placement of ligatures to speed recovery and reduce the risk of internal bleeding. We treat spays and neuters just as we would any surgical procedure, with pre-anesthesia testing, proper monitoring, and detailed aftercare instructions.

Soft Tissue Surgery

Whether you use your healthcare credit card to cover your deductible, or to pay for treatments and procedures not covered by insurance, CareCredit helps make the treatments and procedures your pet needs possible today.

Dental Surgery

Our doctors can extract broken or abscessed teeth and remove lumps and bumps to improve your pet’s oral health and make sure that he or she can eat comfortably.

Knowing that your pet needs surgery can be stressful. Our team will thoroughly explain your pet’s procedure and answer any questions you might have. Please call us to schedule your pet’s procedure or to discuss your pet’s condition.

Orthopedics

Orthopedic surgery involves bones and joints, and our doctors do perform some orthopedics, including some fractures, luxating patella repair, cruciate repair, and basic hip surgery. If your pet requires a more complex orthopedic procedure, we will refer you to a board-certified specialist in our area.
