Meet Our Veterinary Professionals

Dr. Jacquie Preston

Veterinarian

Dr. Jacquie Preston was born and raised in western Washington and a lifetime of being around animals led her to a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Preston graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science before going on to graduate from Washington State University college of veterinary medicine in 2013 (Go COUGS!) Dr. Preston joined the team at All Creatures Animal Hospital in 2015.
Dr. Preston loves developing close relationships with both her patients and her clients. Her special interests include surgery and dentistry. Dr. Preston has taken several courses to advance her skills in these areas and continues to strive to improve patient outcomes.  In addition to her surgical skills, Dr. Preston is passionate about quality of life and pain management for senior pets.

When not in the hospital, you will most often find Dr. Preston riding one of her barrel horses or on her farm. Dr. Preston raises and trains AQHA barrel horses. Dr. Preston shares her farm with her long term boyfriend, dogs, cats, cattle, goats, a variety of poultry and her pet bison. Family time is important for Dr. Preston and when not on the farm is generally spending time with her friends and family.

Dr. Jennifer Gonzalez

Veterinarian

Dr. Gonzalez is a highly skilled veterinarian with a passion for providing excellent care to animals and educating pet owners. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Washington State University in 2006, where she gained a deep understanding of animal behavior, nutrition, and husbandry.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Dr. Gonzalez continued at Washington State University to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her degree and has been practicing veterinary medicine for over a decade.

Dr. Gonzalez has a special interest in the bond between pets and their owners, as well as internal medicine and client education and communication. She is known for her ability to put pet owners at ease and explain complex medical conditions in a way that is easy to understand.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Dr. Gonzalez enjoys pursuing her personal interests. She is an avid photographer and has a talent for capturing the beauty of the natural world. Dr. Gonzalez is also a skilled horseback rider and loves spending time outdoors with her own horse.

Dr. Carolyn Saylor

Medical Director

Dr. Saylor is a Washington native and grew up in Puyallup, Washington. She attended the University of Washington and graduated with a degree in Microbiology/Molecular Biology in 1989. She worked for the University of Washington as a Veterinary Technician while obtaining her undergraduate degree and then worked as a Research Technologist for one year for the Department of Orthopedics studying arthritis and degenerative joint disease in animals and humans. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994.
Dr. Saylor is an experienced and dedicated veterinarian with a passion for animals that has defined her impressive 29-year career in the veterinary field. Throughout her journey, she has touched the lives of countless pets and their owners, leaving a remarkable impact on the industry. With 15 years of invaluable experience in emergency medicine, she has honed her skills in handling critical situations with poise and expertise.

Beyond her foundational veterinary training, Dr. Saylor has undertaken additional specialized training in both ultrasound and dentistry. This extra knowledge and expertise have allowed her to provide comprehensive care for her patients, ensuring that they receive the highest quality treatment available.

While her interests in veterinary medicine are diverse, Dr. Saylor has developed a particular fondness for soft tissue surgery and complicated internal medicine cases. Her ability to navigate intricate surgical procedures and her dedication to solving challenging medical puzzles have taught her the trust and admiration of her peers and clients alike.

Dr. Saylor’s commitment to animal welfare extends beyond the walls of her clinic. Since 2007, she has been actively volunteering for the Iditarod, using her skills to care for the sled dogs and ensure their well-being during this legendary race. Her selflessness and genuine love for animals shine through in her efforts to make a positive impact in the world of veterinary medicine and beyond.

In April of 2022, Dr. Saylor joined the team at All Creatures Animal Hospital as the Medical Director, bringing her wealth of experience and expertise to benefit the furry companions in her care. Her colleagues appreciate her warm and compassionate approach to veterinary medicine, and her clients value the personalized attention she provides to each beloved pet she treats.

Throughout her extensive career, Dr. Saylor’s unwavering dedication to her patients, her commitment to continuous learning, and her selfless volunteer work have solidified her reputation as a highly respected and cherished member of the veterinary community. Her passion for animals, coupled with her vast knowledge and exceptional skills, make her a true asset to the field of veterinary medicine.

Dr. Saylor currently lives on a small working farm just south of Puyallup near Mount Rainier with her husband, 1 Miniature Aussie, 2 Ragdoll cats, her horses, and a small herd of Angus cows. In her spare time, she enjoys recreational horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hiking, and she is an amateur landscape and wildlife photographer.
